Ingredients

  • ¼ cup coarsely chopped toasted nori strips
  • ¼ cup white sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup black sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup loosely packed bonito flakes (fish flakes)
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp togarashi seasoning (or ½ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper)
  • ¼ tsp granulated stevia

Instructions

  • In a spice grinder or coffee grinder, pulse the nori until ground but still slightly flaky (not powdered).
  • Add the sesame seeds, bonito flakes, salt, togarashi, and stevia. Pulse until evenly combined.
  • Store the furikake in an airtight spice container or jar for up to a month. Sprinkle over rice, veggies, or egg bowls for an instant flavor upgrade.
