Ingredients

  • 12 dates (Mazafati or Barhi are extra soft, but any will do)
  • 12 hazelnuts
  • 2 bananas
  • 8 oz 70% or more unsweetened cacao dark chocolate chips or squares
  • 14 kt edible gold foil and cocoa nibs (Optional)

Instructions

  • Slice 1/4" off the top of the date and take out the pit. Shape sides into a heart. Pop in the hazelnut at the bottom.
  • Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. You can also pop it in the microwave for a minute. Let your chocolate cool for 5 minutes.
  • Lay the parchment or wax paper on a tray.
  • Dip your stuffed dates into the chocolate, then cocoa nibs (optional).
  • Repeat the step 4 for the bananas.
  • Pop them in the fridge for 30 minutes. Set up a cute plate or box to put them in.
  • Add flecks of edible 14kt gold foil. Enjoy!
